NEW DELHI: India on Monday night alleged that its embassy officials in Islamabad continue to face “harassment and intimidation”. On Monday, India alleged that two high commission officials who went shopping at Safa Gold Mall in Islamabad were aggressively followed by two persons in a car (Toyota Corolla) in close proximity at various locations.

Also, two officials travelling in high commission’s vehicle were chased while going to Super Market by two unknown persons on a motorbike. As per a PTI report, Indian government has asked Pakistan to immediately probe these incidents.

“Results should be shared with the high commission,” the agency report said. Earlier on Monday, India summoned deputy high commissioner of Pakistan, Syed Haider Shah, to lodge a strong protest at the loss of innocent lives, including children, in unprovoked Pakistani firing along the Line of Control.

“Our strong concerns were shared at continued unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations across the Line of Control and the international border,” informed MEA.
