Indian Bank CEO T M Bhasin quits; takes up new role at CVC

Indian Bank today announced top level changes in the management, with current Managing Director and CEO, T M Bhasin demitting office, to take up new responsibility in Central Vigilance Commission.

CHENNAI: State-owned Indian Bank today announced top level changes in the management, with current Managing Director and CEO, T M Bhasin demitting office, to take up new responsibility in Central Vigilance Commission.

Bhasin was recently appointed as Vigilance Commissioner by President Pranab Mukherjee.

"Pursuant to the appointment as Vigilance Commissioner in Central Vigilance Commission by President of India, T M Bhasin demitted his office at the close hours on June 10 (today).

"The Ministry of Finance has accepted the request of T M Bhasin to demit his office as Managing Director and CEO of Indian Bank," the bank said in a BSE filing.

Meanwhile, the bank said Mahesh Kumar Jain, the present Executive Director has been entrusted the additional charge of Managing Director and CEO of the bank for a period of three months or till date of appointment of regular MD and CEO or until further order, whichever is earliest, it added.
