Minister Patwary underlined the anthropological affinity between North East India and Thailand and also referred to the age-old relations between these two great nations.

Guwahat: Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand, Suchitra Durai met Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patwary where they discussed strategies to deepen and strengthen the ties between both the countries.

Interacting with the Ambassador, Minister Patwary highlighted the sea-route connectivity of Assam to South East Asian nations through the Chittagong and Mongla Ports of Bangladesh as well as the surface-route connectivity through the Trans Asian Trilateral Highway. The Minister added that these routes will open up new trade opportunities and result in mega shift in business scenario of the region.


Minister Patwary underlined the anthropological affinity between North East India and Thailand and also referred to the age-old relations between these two great nations.

Ambassador Suchitra Durai suggested outreach programme for specially-constituted teams to accelerate business and commerce between both the nations.
