India, US to hold maiden Policy Planning Dialogue to share perspectives on global issues

NEW DELHI: India and US will hold their maiden Policy Planning Dialogue here on Wednesday to share perspectives on key global issues and analyse major global trends including the West Asian situation, rise of Islamic State, rise and ambitions of China and climate change. While creation of this Indo-US Policy Planning Dialogue was agreed at the maiden Strategic-Commercial Dialogue in Washington in September, the timing of the meet is pertinent in the backdrop of ghastly attacks in Paris and increasing attacks by the ISIS.
