NEW DELHI: Aspiring for cooperation with international community in the atomic field, India is expected to seek the support of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) member Slovakia for its ambitions tomorrow when its Foreign Minister Jan Kubis undertakes a visit here.
Kubis, who will be on a day-long visit, will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on the entire range of bilateral relations to explore ways to enhance ties.
The two sides are expected to discuss the Indo-US civil nuclear deal in the backdrop of New Delhi's ambition to have cooperation with the international community in the field.
The Slovak side is expected to seek details of the agreement so that it can firm up its position on the issue, officials told PTI here.
Mukherjee is expected to brief him on the steps being taken by India in concluding the Indo-US deal which is intended at opening its doors for nuclear cooperation with the international community.
The Indian side is likely to seek Slovakia's support for its ambitions, the officials said.
Slovakia is a member of 45-nation NSG, whose support will be crucial for India for ending its isolation in the nuclear field.
The two sides will also discuss cooperation in the fields of trade, economy and defence besides regional matters.
The Slovak side is expected to lobby for its howitzers 'Zuzana' in response to India's invitation for bids for gun systems.
