NEW DELHI: In the backdrop of the Mumbai attacks, India is expected to voice its concern over terrorism emanating from Pakistan at the UN tomorrow and mount pressure at the international community to act against it.

Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, who will represent India at a conference on security in the UN, is expected to cite the Mumbai attacks to point out how the country is facing a threat from the neighbouring country.

Ahamed is expected to tell the world community that Mumbai attacks were planned and launched in Pakistan and that it has ample proof in this regard, sources said.

The UN Security Council is holding an 'open debate' on Threats to International Peace and Security caused by terrorist acts'. Though India is not a member of the Council, it will have an opportunity to present its point of view at the meet, sources said.

India has said the Mumbai attacks were carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba in association with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.

After the Mumbai strikes, India has already started garnering world support in its efforts to build pressure on Pakistan to end terrorism emanating from its soil.
