India teeming with examples of inspirational management case studies: Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: India will lead the world in being the pioneer of knowledge growth in 21st century, said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. "India has to lead the world in the 21st century," Modi said. "India is the nation of youth, even the world admits that 21st century belongs to India," he added.


Citing the Kumbh Mela as a model of efficient management, Modi said that any business school across the world should look at the event as a case study. Addressing a gathering in Haridwar, Modi said, "Saints are giving by nature and have an important role in building our nation."

Modi also said that Gujarat's ability to recover from the damage caused by a major earthquake was exemplary. "We are counted among the poor countries, but Gujarat has developed so much after the earthquake caused havoc."

Stating that he has no 'lofty dreams', Modi said that even though he was not questioning, the entire nation is 'seeking an answer from Delhi'.

Sharing the dais with yoga-guru Baba Ramdev, Modi praised him for 'teaching people how to live a healthy life by performing yoga'. "Had Baba Ramdev done his movement in any other country he would have been a subject of several academic studies," Modi said.

Flourishing praise on the yoga guru, Modi said, "Baba Ramdev has one life, one mission. I know him for a long time since his bicycle days."

Earlier, Baba Ramdev addressed the same gathering and endorsed the Gujarat CM saying, "People of our country want Modi to lead the nation".
