India should strive to get back its territories occupied by Pakistan and China, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy said today.

DHARAMSALA: India should strive to get back its territories occupied by Pakistan and China, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy said today.

Addressing a seminar on 'Kashmir Problem and its Remedies' organised by Himachal University here, he claimed that the Kashmir problem started when the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru raised the issue at the UN at a time when Indian troops were pushing back Pakistani forces into their territory.

"Eventually, we lost our land to Pakistan and the issue remained unresolved," the former Union Law and Justice Minister said, adding that the Indian government should strive to get its territories occupied by Pakistan and China back.

Former Uttrakhand chief minister and Rajya Sabha MP Bhagat Singh Koshiari was also present at the seminar.
