India should share findings of Samjhauta probe: Pak

ISLAMABAD: India should share with Pakistan the findings of its probe into the 2007 Samjhauta Express blast in which 42 Pakistanis were killed, a top foreign official said today.

Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit termed the Samjhauta Express blast as the biggest conspiracy and said various elements were involved in it, including "Indian terrorists network".

"42 people were killed in the blast but India has never provided us a single report about the event," he told state-run PTV.

"We want to discuss all strategic issues with India which were included in composite dialogues such as Kashmir, Terrorism, Siachin, Economic, Cultural issues etc," he added.

Basit said that Kashmir issue must be resolved in accordance with the aspiration of Kashmiri people and the United Nations'(UN) resolutions.

He said it was difficult to sustain good ties with India without resolving the Kashmir issue.

Responding a question he said, Pakistan being a victim of terrorism itself, would of course want to discuss the issue with India.
