India, Pakistan to hold talks in July: New Delhi

India and Pak plan to hold foreign minister-level talks in Islamabad.

NEW DELHI: India and Pakistan plan to hold foreign minister-level talks in Islamabad on July 15 as part of efforts to restore trust in their badly strained relationship, India said on Tuesday.

"The foreign minister of Pakistan has invited me to go Islamabad on the 15th of July," India's Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna told reporters after a telephone call with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

"I am planning to visit Islamabad and I am looking forward to these talks," he added.

India hoped the talks would be "helpful in building trust between the two countries," he added. "Let's hope that these efforts will be fruitful."
