'India, Pak making reasonable progress on Kashmir'
India and Pakistan are making "reasonable progress" on the Kashmir issue, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said expressing optimism that the two sides will reach at some conclusion.

ISLAMABAD: India and Pakistan are making "reasonable progress" on the Kashmir issue, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said expressing optimism that the two sides will reach at some conclusion.
The Pakistan President, who is on a tour of Poland, also gave credit to the Indian leadership for the positive progress achieved so far in normalising the tense relations between the two countries.
“They (negotiators) are making reasonable progress on Kashmir and I am optimistic that they will hopefully reach some conclusion," he said addressing a gathering of Polish civil society at the Institute of International Relations in Warsaw on Monday.
Emphasising that India and Pakistan need to make rapid progress to resolve that Kashmir issue, Musharraf hoped that the Indian leadership will show sincerity, flexibility and courage to achieve the objective.
"There is a desire among the Indian leadership to reach an accord and there is need for sincerity, flexibility and courage to resolve the problem and face the opposition within the country," he was quoted as saying by the media here.
"We are trying to bring peace in the region, after having four wars in the past that brought no solution. The two countries have now resorted to double channels, first Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) which are going very well, and the other is moving towards conflict resolution that is resolution of the Kashmir dispute," he said.
