Celebrating the first International Day of Yoga, India organised a lecture cum demonstration on the ancient Indian spiritual practice here which was attended by more than 250 people including diplomats.

RIYADH: Celebrating the first International Day of Yoga, India organised a lecture cum demonstration on the ancient Indian spiritual practice here which was attended by more than 250 people including diplomats.

Charge d' Affaires Hemant Kotalwar highlighted the importance of Yoga in the daily life in his inaugural speech at the Embassy of India's auditorium.

The programme was organised for diplomats, executives of business firms, Indian community members and the officials of the Mission, with emphasis that simple forms of yoga can be performed at any place including in the office.

Students from the Indian community school presented dance performances based on yoga postures.

The interactive session received an over-whelming response from the audience, according to a press release by the Embassy.
