India only country to use modern tech to tackle destructive forces

GUWAHATI: Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Tenzing Tsewang Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, on Thursday said that India is the only country which uses modern education and technology to tackle destructive and negative forces.

Dalai, who was in Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery at Dirang village of Arunachal Pradesh, also said that ancient Indian provides mental peace. The programme was attended by Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, P.B. Acharya.

Despite stiff opposition from China to his visit Dalai has asserted that his visit is purely spiritual.

Dalai recalled his journey to Arunachal Pradesh from Tibet in March 1959 when he inaugurated the Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery.

The spiritual leader asked the people and Lamas for proper and maximum utilization of the Monastery. It should be a centre for learning for all. He advised to conduct debate on every aspect for healthy growth and advancement. There must be lots of activities.

Governor said that the spiritual spirit and compassion that Dalai disseminate will translate into positive energy and take the State towards path of eternal peace and development.

“You are the living God and Saint. Your presence has strengthened and inspired all, the Governor said, while expressing his thoughts.”

The Governor urged Dalai to guide the achievers, young people and believers for an equitable advancement of every section of the society.
