RAIPUR: Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission Anil Kakodkar said here today that India must develop the ability to pick up early warning signals of disasters.

He was speaking at a two-day International Conference on Humanitarian Logistics 2013 organised here by IIM-Raipur.

He praised efforts that led to the progress made in the last five to six years, while emphasising how India still had miles to go in mastering disaster management.
