India lodges strong protest with Pakistan over ceasefire violations
India today lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over repeated ceasefire violations by the neighboring country.

BSF and Pak Rangers held a key sector commander-level flag meeting to defuse tension along the Indo-Pak border due to these violations.
The DIG-Brigade commander level meeting was held between BSF and Pak Rangers at Octerio Border Out Post in Suchetgarh forward belt of RS Pura along the International Border and went on for nearly three hours, BSF officials said.
This was the third flag meeting to discuss ceasefire violations.
BSF troops had yesterday held commandant-level flag-meeting with Rangers along the International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir impressing upon each other to respect ceasefire.
The commandant-level flag meeting was held at Zero-line between Ballard Post of India and Imran post of Pakistan.
On August 27, India and Pakistan had resumed the process of flag meeting by holding a commandant-level flag meeting at Nikowal Border Out Post along International Border in Pargwal sub-sector of Akhnoor sector.
There have been 24 ceasefire violations by Pakistan in the month of August. Two villagers have been killed and 17 others including 4 BSF jawans suffered injuries in the ceasefire violations.
