India indulging in politics of accusations: LeT founder
Lashker-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Mohammed Saeed has accused India of indulging in politics of accusations even as he questioned the US's role in mounting pressure on Pakistan government to act against elements in the country linked to the Mumbai carn...
"India is indulging in politics of accusations and blaming Pakistan to hide its internal problems," Saeed, who formed the Jamaat-ud-Dawah after the LeT was banned in 2001, claimed.
There are "several separatist movements in India" which began "in reaction to excesses of Hindu Brahmins, especially the denial of peaceful co-existence to Muslims," he told a gathering in his sermon after the Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid al-Qadsia in Lahore.
Noting that the US Secretary of State and America's senior-most military official, Admiral Mike Mullen, were "quick to exert pressure on Pakistan after the Mumbai events", Saeed asked "why don't they exert pressure on India to safeguard the rights of its minorities".
He claimed the "world had remained silent when Christians were attacked and churches were burnt in India last month."
