India Inc feels the country will benefit from Pranab Mukherjee's leadership

NEW DELHI: India's reputation will reach greater heights under the leadership of new President Pranab Mukherjee, India Inc said today.

The country and the Indian industry will surely benefit from Mukherjee's counsel and leadership, Ficci Secretary General Rajiv Kumar said.

"We are confident that with him at the helm, India's image and reputation as a front runner in the economic league of nations will reach new heights and the industry looks forward to his guidance in the coming years," Kumar said.

Mukherjee today became the 13th President of India. Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat said, "Under Mukherjee's president ship, the focus will also be to connect business community with various countries."

"Quite deservedly, Mukherjee has received several national and international awards and honours," CII said.

FIEO President Rafeeq Ahmed said, "As one of the most experienced and senior leaders of the country, Mukherjee will be able to provide guidance to the government as well as the country."
