India asks UK: Tell Pak there is no good or bad terrorist
NEW DELHI: India has asked UK to impress upon Pakistan to not differentiate between 'good' and 'bad' terrorists in light of the dastardly Peshawar attack and told UK to also take a firm view on why Pakistan had become a nursery of terrorists.

The UK in turn has warned India that an attack by the ISIS could take place in India. This was among the discussions held between both countries during the Indo-UK Counter Terrorism Joint Working Group meeting on January 15-16 in London. Government officials said UK was however more focussed on the ISIS threat rather than from the Pakistan-based terror groups. "UK is petrified that a terror attack can take place on its soil by ISIS and radical elements associated with it. UK has also warned India that the ISIS can cause an attack in India as well," a government official told ET. India in turn impressed upon UK that a terror attack by Pakistan-based LeT could take place in UK as well, the official added. "UK agencies have good links with ISI as they feel the same is an insurance for preventing a terror attack on its soil by Pak-based terror groups. That may be UK's misconception," the official said.

Indian officials also raised the issue of rising Sikh radicalisation in UK and asked for action. "There are 2-3 TV channels in UK who are carrying rabid material against India and encouraging Sikh radicalisation. We have asked UK to crack down on the same and impressed upon them that Sikh radicalisation is dead in India but still has a presence in UK. Regular money transfers from UK to the families in India of jailed Sikh terrorists is still taking place," a government official said. There are 7 lakh Sikhs and 10 lakh Pakistanis based in the UK, India was informed. "UK has been soft on rising radicalisation levels among Pakistanis and Sikhs on its soil as they have turned into significant vote banks as well," a top government official said.

Both countries have agreed on training of its special forces and an agreement on civil aviation security, officials added.
