India Against Corruption to observe fast tomorrow to support Team Anna

IAC today said they would observe the protest here demanding action against 15 Central ministers facing allegations of corruption.

CHENNAI: With Team Anna all set to launch an indefinite fast at Delhi tomorrow, activists of India Against Corruption here today said they would observe the protest here demanding action against 15 Central ministers facing allegations of corruption.

Claiming that they had "strong evidence" from reports drawn by Comptroller and Auditor General of India against these ministers, IAC spokesman Jaheer Hussain said, "..the government has not taken any solid steps towards our demands."

The fast would be organised at Punniyakodi Kalyana Mahal in Kodambakkam on July 25 from 10 am, he said.

As for Tamil Nadu,the IAC demanded that the state government set up a strong Lokayukta to curb corruption at the state level.

The activists have sent letters to all MLAs of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and over 500 NGOs.
