NEW DELHI: Home Minister P Chidambaram hoped government servants will not respond to the "wrong call" of mass leave given by Team Anna to them join their protests on the Lokpal issue.

"It is a completely wrong call. In a free country, anybody can even give wrong calls," he said when asked to comment on Team Anna's appeal to government servants to take mass leave.

"I sincerely hope that government servants will not respond to such wrong call," Chidambaram said.

Senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan, a close associate of Hazare, has asked government servants across the country to take mass leave and joint protests to press for a stronger Lokpal Bill.
