India against corruption: CPI(M) demands immediate release of Anna Hazare

CPI(M) accused Manmohan Singh government of crushing fundamental right of civil rights activist Anna Hazare and demanded his immediate release.

RANCHI: The CPI(M) accused the Manmohan Singh government of crushing the fundamental right of civil rights activist Anna Hazare and demanded his immediate release.

"Imposing prohibitory orders at J P Park in Delhi and arresting Anna Hazare is an attack on democracy. All the left parties have decided to stage a protest day tomorrow against this undemocratic act by the central government," CPI(M)'s said in a press release here.

"There should be an effective Lokpal bill and prime minister should also come under its ambit," the release said here.

The party appealed to all civilians to join the protest day to save democracy.
