India and African sought to achieve economic prosperity through collaboration in order to bridge distances between two continents.

PANAJI: Bridging distances between two continents, India and African, on Saturday sought to achieve economic prosperity through collaboration.

Indian diaspora, which has its significant presence in African countries, would bridge the distance between two vital forces, which will rule the world in the 21st century, the experts who have convulged here stated.

Organised by Goa NRI commissionarate, the seminar on 'Building Bridges with Africa,' gave thought on increased collaboration between two vital global players-India and Africa.

"As an investor, you will find in Africa, the local people, government and other investors from different parts of the world, all of them, always available to make you feel secure and provide you all support to invest there," High Commissioner Republic of Mozambique Carlos Agostinho Do Rosario told the gathering.

Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, High Commissioner of Mauritius Mookhesswur Choonee, NRI commissioner Eduardo Faleiro, Chief Secretary J P Singh, Development Commissioner Anand Prakash and others were present.

Rosario said that Africa and Mozambique in particular, offers you security, guarantees, incentives and all support for your investment.

"Sometimes, perception of such insecurities about investment in Africa is coming from some competitors. These perceptions of insecurities are weak weapons used by competitors to evade the hard core competition," he added.
