Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi to contest alone in Tamil Nadu if BJP allies with either of DMK, AIADMK
Pariventhar told reporters that the main plank of the IJK would be to prevent both the Dravidian parties from coming to power in the polls.

"IJK is continuing as an ally in NDA in Tamil Nadu and fight the assembly elections, remaining in it. However, if BJP chose to join hands with either DMK or AIADMK, IJK will pull out from the alliance and contest alone," the party president, T R Pachamuthu Pariventhar, told reporters here today.
Stating that both these Dravidian parties, ruling Tamil Nadu for the last over 40 years did not have any development schemes for the growth of the state, he said the main plank of the party would be to prevent these parties coming to power in the polls.
When asked about extending support in the coming R K Nagar constituency, where chief minister, Jayalalithaa is contesting, he said that his party neither contest nor extend support to any candidate.
