Incident involving AAP MLAs shows party's arrogance: BJP
NEW DELHI: BJP today questioned "silence" of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the registration of a criminal case against two AAP MLAs for their alleged involvement in a violent clash and said it was a reflection of the party's arrogance after coming to power.

Party spokesperson and secretary Shrikant Sharma said Kejriwal should explain his stand on the conduct of his party MLAs who were involved in "goondagardi (hooliganism)".

Delhi Police has registered an FIR against the AAP MLAs and their supporters, six of whom have been arrested, over a violent clash with police at Burari police station in north Delhi yesterday which left 15 people injured.

While the MLAs, Sanjeev Jha from Burari and Akhilesh Pati Tripathi from Model Town, have not been arrested, they have been named in the FIR, police said today.

"Kejriwal had spoken about arrogance. The same arrogance is visible in the conducts of his party MLAs. Why is he silent? He should clarify," Sharma said.
