In Chhattisgarh, the BJP is unlikely to project a chief ministerial face, and will contest the elections by projecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sources said.
In Madhya Pradesh, both Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the state unit head VD Sharma are likely to continue to hold their positions. Along with PM Modi, Chouhan's face will also be there, sources said. They however added that a call on who will lead the state if the BJP wins will be taken after the elections.
In both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the BJP will focus heavily on wooing back the tribals.
In Rajasthan, the BJP is looking to project a united leadership and the party is yet to take a call on projecting a chief ministerial face, sources said. BJP leaders hinted that former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia will definitely play an important role during the assembly polls.
In all three states, the BJP is going to focus on wooing women voters and explore the option of replacing a substantial number of sitting MLAs.
BJP is in power in Madhya Pradesh while Congress is ruling in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
These three state assembly polls, where the BJP is in direct contest with Congress, is seen as a semifinal to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
