Gujarat wants a change after 27 years of the BJP rule: Arvind Kejriwal
The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday promised that if voted to power in Gujarat, it would bring in legislation ensuring an 8o% quota for local youth in private sector jobs in the state.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal made the promise while addressing a town hall meeting with the youth in Bhavnagar. Kejriwal and Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who is facing a CBI probe over charges of corruption in the excise policy in the capital, on Tuesday landed in Bhavnagar, the assembly constituency of Gujarat education minister Jitu Vaghani.

Sisodia claimed that the angst of Gujarati voters and their growing support to the AAP were the reasons for the CBI tightening the noose around his neck.

"My neck is that of honesty and they won't be able to do anything," he said.

In his address, Kejriwal attacked the Gujarat government over the leaking of question papers of government exams and said more papers leaked in the state than the crackers burst across the country during Diwali. He asked: "Don't they feel ashamed? Those who can't handle question papers for exams, how will they run the government?" He alleged that the scam running in Gujarat was bigger than the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

He promised that cases over the question paper leak would be opened and investigated, and the perpetrators would be sent behind bars if his party was elected to power.

Kejriwal shared a calendar for various exams for government employment to be conducted over the next year in case the AAP forms government in the state. He reiterated his promise of a Rs 3,000 per month allowance to the unemployed youth.

Appealing to the local sentiment, he requested the union government to felicitate former Bhavnagar king Krishnakumar Sinh with Bharat Ratna.
