Imran Khan asked to leave the country by October 28 for participating in protests
Mumbai: A row erupted after Foreigners Regional Registration Office asked actor Imran Khan to leave India by October 28 for participating in CJP Protest in Mumbai last week. Khan, a US citizen, was asked to leave as foreign nationals are not allowed to protest in the country.

The Opposition backed the actor while BJP leaders claimed Khan's involvement was a sign of 'foreign involvement' in the protest. Mumbai Police has also registered a case against him.

Meanwhile, Khan has decided to challenge the order in Bombay HC.

"Everyone has a right to protest. He might have a foreign passport. But several of our friends live in foreign countries and they protest there... This is unfortunate," said NCP-SP's Supriya Sule.
