SANT KABIR NAGAR ( UP): An illicit liquor factory was unearthed in Bakhira area here following which 10 persons have been arrested, police said today.

Acting on a tip off police raided a rice mill in Lagraber village last evening and unearthed the illicit liquor racket. 10 persons were arrested during the raid, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar told reporters.

The ASP said that police recovered 20,200 bottles, 6,000 duplicate labels of different companies and 20,000 litre chemical and different other equipments.

The main accused Shaloo Jaiswal and owner of the rice mill Om Prakash were absconding, he said, adding, the arrested accused have been sent to jail.
