An illegal arms manufacturing unit was unearthed at Khirishkhali village at Basanti area in South 24 Parganas district today.

CANNING: An illegal arms manufacturing unit was unearthed at Khirishkhali village at Basanti area in South 24 Parganas district today.
It came to light during a surprise raid in the house of one Wahab Mollah, the police said.
Components for producing 60 guns were found in the illegal factory. A rifle was also seized from the premises, the police said.
Mollah was arrested. The police said the unit was work in a clandenstine manner for the last five years.
