Chief Minister said that the traditional Indian civilization has taught mankind to seek knowledge and wisdom.
Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Assam's GDP stands at Rs 4 lakh crore and good money is spent is bringing commodities from outside and if we can produce all our necessities in Assam, we will have huge wealth in the state.

Sarma participating in the 29th Foundation Day of Assam University at Silchar said, “Establishing connection is the key to civilization, culture and education. This connection is a connection among human minds. I am really overwhelmed to have been invited to the 29th foundation day of Assam University. Our government will try to keep the bridge of this connection intact. For the development of academic environment of Assam University, I have also committed myself along with the rest of the fraternity of the University”.

Chief Minister said that the traditional Indian civilization has taught mankind to seek knowledge and wisdom. The Chief Minister said that Indian education system has always been a motivator for leadership based on values.


He said, “We all have to be diligent in our own endeavors so that we can survive the whole life with human philosophy. Assam's GDP today stands at Rs 4 lakh crore. However, a huge chunk of the money is spent on bringing commodities from outside the state. "If we can produce all our necessities in Assam, we will have huge wealth in the state". Speaking on the need of bringing in innovative practices, including start up ventures, the Chief Minister said that institution of higher education should take the lead in motivating young minds for the start up ventures. He also said that State government would give Rs. 25 crore to Assam University to help the institution to go for start up ventures including setting innovation lab along with others to stimulate entrepreneurial skills of the students.
