IED blast in Tripura hamlet, none injured

Tripura State Rifles personnel had a narrow escape when an improvised explosive device planted by suspected National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) insurgents exploded in Dhalai district.

AGARTALA: Tripura State Rifles personnel had a narrow escape when an improvised explosive device planted by suspected National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) insurgents exploded in Dhalai district.
No one was injured in the explosion, police said.
The IED exploded when the TSR personnel were conducting search operations at remote Jatindraroajapara hamlet yesterday.
While a portion of the IED exploded partially, another portion did not explode at all, police said.
