'IB should mobilise correct information about terror strikes'
Railways Minister Lalu Prasad today said the Intelligence Bureau (IB) should mobilise "correct and specific" information about terror attacks in the country and make it available to the law enforcement agencies concerned to prevent such strikes.
The IB should get "correct and specific information" and provide it to the law enforcement agencies concerned so that security agencies could act effectively, he said.
He termed many reports of IB as "vague" and said that they should provide specific information about the place which will be targeted by terrorists.
After terror attacks people usually blame Pakistan but we should also take into account what happens inside our country too, he told Deepak Chaurasia's "Jo Kahoonga sach kahoonga" on Star News.
He also said the country has been witnessing a surge in terrorist activities after the demolition of Babri mosque.
Before the demolition of Babri masjid, such incidents were limited to the borders in J & K, but now these have become common in many parts of the country.
Prasad said that he told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi that these attacks send a wrong signal about the government among the public.
"We need to ensure so that incidents like Delhi blasts are not repeated," he said.
He claimed that the Finance Ministry does not approve enough funds for meeting security requirements of Railways.
