NAGPUR/GADCHIROLI: Within 24 hours of killing four policemen, Maoists triggered a second blast in Gadchiroli's Talewada jungle on Tuesday, leaving eight commandos injured. The spot is around 13km from Monday's blast site at Perimili.

The commandos were part of the rescue team travelling in an anti-mine vehicle from Pranhita headquarters at Aheri to retrieve the body of one of the slain cops killed in Monday's blast. The fifth death in Monday's blast is yet to be confirmed.

Among the wounded in Tuesday's blast, two are reported to be serious. The rescue team, led by commander Ramesh Dalai, was moving to Perimili when the Maoists blew up their anti-mine vehicle.

The policemen were lucky to survive the blast as the vehicle landed on shrubs by the road.
