I was threatened to take back my complaint against Kumar Vishwas: Volunteer
NEW DELHI: A volunteer who had accused AAP leader Kumar Vishwas of not rebutting "rumours" about their illicit liaison, has alleged that she was threatened by unknown men to withdraw her complaint against the leader.

A case has been registered against two unidentified men at Seemapuri police station on a complaint by the woman who alleged that two "muffled" men threatened her by showing a pistol and asked her to take back the complaint against Vishwas, at a red light in Seemapuri while she was going to Anand Vihar in her car.

"We have registered a case against unknown persons on the complaint of the woman and trying to find out the men who allegedly threatened her. No arrests have been made so far," said a senior police officer.

However, the official noted that the woman is yet to file a formal complaint with the police against the AAP leader.

"It was not clear what the threat to her mean as the woman has not lodged any complaint against Vishwas in connection with her allegation," he said.

The woman, who claimed of participating in the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign for Vishwas in Amethi, had registered a case at Nand Nagri police station in April last year, against unknown persons who were allegedly spreading rumours of an "illicit" relationship between her and Vishwas.

She had accused Vishwas of not dispelling the "false rumours" of his having an illicit relationship with her which was ruining her reputation.

A complaint was also lodged in this regard with the Delhi Commission for Women by the victim which had summoned the AAP leader.
