I-T report alleges Kripashankar Singh of tax evasion

Court had ordered Mumbai police and tax authorities to investigate former Mumbai city Congress president Kripashankar Singh's property and assets.

MUMBAI: The income tax department has submitted a detailed report to the Bombay High Court about all bank accounts held by former Mumbai city Congress president Kripashankar Singh and his family, and high-value transactions made by Kripashankar's wife Malatidevi Singh who allegedly did not pay any tax despite large amounts coming into her bank accounts.

Court had ordered Mumbai police and tax authorities to investigate former Mumbai city Congress president Kripashankar Singh's property and assets.

ET assessed the documents submitted in court by the income tax department which give details of all 22 bank accounts held by Kripashankar Singh and his family.
