I support 'right to recall' but debate needed on the issue: Nitish Kumar
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today extended his in-principle support to the 'right to recall', under which voters can call back elected representatives.
"Being a follower of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, I am, in principle, in favour of 'Right to Recall' but it will be better to have a debate over the demand," Kumar said while exchanging greetings with people on the occasion of Chhath puja here.
On the demand of social activist Anna Hazare for bringing Lokpal bill in the forthcoming winter session of Parliament, Kumar said, "There is a consensus both outside and inside Parliament on the issue."
On a question, Kumar said his government will constitute State Disaster Response Force ( SDRF) on the lines of National Disaster Response Force ( NDRF), which would come in handy in intensification of rescue operations at the time of natural disasters.
