‘I never compete with IMD, they are my mentors: Weather enthusiast Rajesh Kapadia
With daily 2000-3000 visitors on his blog, Kapadia and his co-authors Abhijit Modak, Rohit Aroskar and Gurvinder Bagga keep a close watch on the pattern of weather in the Indian subcontinent.

The post contradicted the India Meteorological Department or IMD, which had forecast heavy rains to continue on August 30. “I never compete with IMD. They are my mentors. Whatever I have learnt and now teach to fellow weather enthusiasts is from my initial learning at IMD Colaba station,” says the retired businessmen who for the better part of his life has manufactured engine bearings and now is the founder of the blog which gives daily forecast on Mumbai weather.
