External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, injured in a road accident in West Bengal, on Sunday said he was well and hoped to be back at work after 48 hours.

NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, injured in a road accident in West Bengal, on Sunday said he was well and hoped to be back at work after 48 hours.
"I am well but doctors have advised me 48-hours rest. I hope to be back to work after that period," Mukherjee said in a message.
Mukherjee was flown to the capital from Kolkata this morning and admitted to the army's Research and Referral Hospital.
He suffered injuries to his head and other parts of the body when his car was hit by a truck last night while he was returning to Kolkata from Murshidabad.
"I am grateful to all those who have sent me good wishes following the road accident I was involved in," he said.
