I have kept plan of becoming PM pending: Lalu

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad appears to have put his Prime Ministerial ambitions on hold.

NEW DELHI: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad appears to have put his Prime Ministerial ambitions on hold.

Quizzed by a group of students from Harvard and Wharton Business Schools - which he kept referring to as Barton - on his plans for the future, Lalu today said, "I have kept my plan of becoming prime minister pending. What's the hurry?"

However, he did not say why he has preferred to wait.

After interacting with the students at the Rail Auditorium here, Lalu told reporters, "A boy from Pakistan asked me - what are your future plans? I told him,'Baal safed ho gaye hain, par abhi to main jawan hoon' (My hair has become white but I am still young)'.

"All of you also want to become editors. But you have to wait," he said.
