I do not believe that English language is the only key to development : Tripura CM

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said what Amit Shah said was not wrong and one must not think that English language is the only key to development.

Speaking at a programme, he said "But I do not believe that English language is the only key to development."

Deb pointed to examples of successful countries like Japan, Russia, Germany, France which developed without the help of English language. He said, "If there were no British rule, we would not have known English language. But those who cannot speak English language should not be belittled as English is not the only factor for attaining success in life."


He assured that the government is tremendously working for the all round development of the state. He also said by 2023 election he will present his report card to the people of Tripura.
