In an unprecedented move, the Supreme Court issued a warrant against Justice CS Karnan for not appearing in a contempt case. The SC has also directed the West Bengal DGP to execute the order"personally" and produce him on March 31.

He has written to the President and Prime Minister of the country levelling allegations of corruption and other crimes against 20 judges including seven SC judges.

On not appearing before the apex court, he said, " SC is not master and HC is not servant . I am nobody's subordinate. I hold constitutional power. Moreover, there has been no inquiry and no discussion before the order being issued . Since I am Dalit , this government targeted me."

He further added that he would file a defamation case against all those seven SC judges. "I have requested the President to recall the bailable warrant issued against me," said Justice Karnan.
