I am honoured by Clinton's support: Obama
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama on Saturday said he was thrilled and honoured to have won the support of Hillary Clinton.

WASHINGTON: Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama Saturday said he was "thrilled and honoured" to have won the support of Hillary Clinton and expected her to be at the forefront of the party's November election battle for the White House.
"I am thrilled and honoured to have Senator Clinton's support. But more than that, I honour her today for the valiant and historic campaign she has run," Obama said reacting to Clinton's endorsement for his White House bid.
"No one knows better than Senator Clinton how desperately America and the American people need change, and I know she will continue to be in the forefront of that battle this fall and for years to come," Obama said in a statement.
"She shattered barriers on behalf of my daughters and women everywhere, who now know that there are no limits to their dreams.
"And she inspired millions with her strength, courage and unyielding commitment to the cause of working Americans. Our party and our country are stronger because of the work she has done throughout her life, and I'm a better candidate for having had the privilege of competing with her in this campaign."
However, Obama did not comment on whether he would pick Clinton for his vice-presidential running mate.
Earlier today, Clinton formally ended her historic campaign for the American presidency and roundly endorsed Obama for Democrats' bid for the White House.
"The way to continue our fight now to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our energy and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States," the former US first lady said in a speech before cheering supporters here.
"I am thrilled and honoured to have Senator Clinton's support. But more than that, I honour her today for the valiant and historic campaign she has run," Obama said reacting to Clinton's endorsement for his White House bid.
