HYDERABAD: Two workers were killed as two explosions occurred at the premises of Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd, formerly IDL Industries, at Kukatpally here tonight, police said.

The deceased were identified as Arjun (59) and Prasad (29).

"Noone else was injured as others had left for dinner. How the blasts occurred is being probed," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Madhapur Zone) T Yoganand told PTI.

The Hinduja group-owned Gulf Oil India was merged with Hyderabad-based IDL Industries (engaged in manufacturing of commercial explosives) in 2002. IDL Industries was later renamed as Gulf Oil Corporation Limited.

A powerful blast at IDL's fuse wire manufacturing unit killed nine workers in November 25, 2003.
