SRINAGAR: Both factions of Hurriyat Conference today expressed concern over the communal violence in Muzaffarnagar.

Expressing anguish over the violence, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq of moderate Hurriyat Conference said Muslims in the area were forced to migrate from their homes to safer places.

The leader of the hardline faction of Huriryat Syed Ali Shah Geelani expressed "grief and heartfelt sorrow" over the killings.

He said these "disturbances are pre-planned".
