Hundi collections touch record Rs 1.39 crore in 27 days

PALANI: Hundial Collections at the Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy temple here touched a record Rs 1.39 crore in the last 27 days, an official release said.

Apart from Indian currency of Rs 1.39 crore, 1384 U.S. Dollars, Euros, Pound, Dirham were found. Besides 512 grams of Gold and 7.13 kg of silver were also found in the Hundial.

Joint commissioner in-Charge Rajamanickam,Assistant commissioner Ramesh were present when the hundial was opened, the release said.
