HUDA investigations reveal shocking details; Haryana plots ‘given’ on Teen Murti address

HANDIGARH: Teen Murti Bhawan in New Delhi, the former residence of India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, figures in the list of addresses supplied by applicants to "obtain allotment of more than one plot" in parts of Haryana including Gurgaon and Faridabad under a discretionary quota.

All this and more figures in a detailed investigation report by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), which was directed to look into allotments under discretionary quota by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. ET has an exclusive copy of the report.

Of the 66 allottees who got such multiple allotments under the quota, three gave address of Teen Murti House. While HUDA allotted two of them four to ten marla plots in Faridabad, the third one got two allotments in Gurgaon. One cent is equal to 1.6 marlas.

Interestingly, all three have listed Teen Murti as old PM house, yet HUDA found nothing suspicious.

Sample this: Krishan Lal, son of Bitti Ram, gave address of "Quarter number 87, Teen Murti House, Outside Compound, New Delhi". He was allotted a ten marla plot "plot number 71/37" in Faridabad. The allotment was made on March 10, 1983. Interestingly, another allotment was made to Krishan Lal under the same address "plot number 638/55, Faridabad".

One Rajinder Kumar, son of KL Pal, gave address "Safderjung Road, quarter number 6, Old PM House, New Delhi". He was allotted four marla plot in Faridabad on August 2, 1994. The address being "plot number 458/55" in Faridabad. Another plot "plot number 838/46" was allotted to him by HUDA.

One Raghbir Singh, son of Nathu Ram, gave address of "house number 64, Teen Murti House, outside Compound New Delhi PM Residence, second compound number 66, address Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi". On April 1, 1986, he was allotted "plot number 1541, sector 23-A Gurgaon". Another plot "plot number 541, Sector 10-A, Gurgaon" too was allotted to him.

The number of persons who obtained multiple allotment under different reserved categories is 408.
