This was evident by the University's recent decision to repatriate the Registrar even before his three year deputation period ended, he said.

The decision to relieve the incumbent of the post of Registrar was indicative of the 'victimisation of the VC against the official, he said, adding this action had resulted in unrest among the faculty and also students.

Perumal said the University had not responded to the plea to earmark 25 per cent of the total seats in each discipline for students of the Union Territory.
