How satellites could not find Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister's chopper crash spot: PM asks ISRO
The scientists led by ISRO chief K Radhakrishnan explained that the satellites were concentrating on a different direction.

NEW DELHI: The inability of ISRO to locate the debris of the helicopter that carried late Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu came in for questioning today from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
When scientists from ISRO called on the Prime Minister, he referred to the tragedy of April 30 in Arunachal Pradesh and asked how the satellites could not pinpoint the exact location of the chopper crash, sources said.
The scientists led by ISRO chief K Radhakrishnan explained that the satellites were concentrating on a different direction.
After Khandu's chopper went missing, services of ISRO were called to trace it but it could not pinpoint the location.
Sources said the Prime Minister told the scientists that the country looked forward to their continued specialised services.
Singh congratulated the scientists for the successful launch of three satellites by PSLV last month.
