Honorary Degree for Prince Mohsin Ali

Former prince of Hyderabad, Mohsin Ali Khan, has been conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by the Dublin Metropolitan University.

LONDON: Former prince of Hyderabad, Mohsin Ali Khan, has been conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by the Dublin Metropolitan University, for his contribution to the purpose of peace in South Asia.

The Vice chancellor of the University, Dr Desmond Fleming conferred the degree on Mohsin Ali Khan, at a special convocation held at the Athennium Club here last evening.

Born during the reign of the seventh and the last Nizam of Hyderabad in the late 1920's, Khan has been a campaigner for South Asian unity.

Prof Wolf Gang Lutz, Chancellor of the University has appointed Khan a Professor of International relations of the University.

Khan was earlier a recipient of a Doctorate of Human literature from Schiller University, London.

Also present on the occasion were NRI entrepreneur Lord Sheikh and Madhav Chandra, Minister (political) in the Indian High Commission.
