Homeland in Kashmir is core political issue: Kashmiri Pandits

JAMMU: Panun Kashmir, an organisation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, today said the demand of homeland in Kashmir is the core political issue for the community and that alone will provide justice to the community.

"The demand of homeland is the core political issue... and that alone would meet the imperatives of justice ...," Panun Kashmir president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said at a meeting of the joint forum of Kashmiri Pandits organisations here.

Chrungoo expressed his satisfaction that more and more Kashmiri Pandit groups are gravitating towards the core edifice of the community's aspiration that is a separate homeland in Kashmir.

Moreover, the issue pertaining to mass exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir also needs to be addressed, Chrungoo said.
